I can not believe I'm entering a shot for flowers. Yuck! LOL
Well here it goes. Just because I was feeling lazy, I shot with the camera in Program mode, flash on TTL and bounced off the ceiling. It's a fabric sunflower with yellow posterboard as the background.

Post-process:
The normal stuff. Convert from RAW levels curves, smart sharpen etc.
I did use a radial gradient from transparent to black on a layer in soft light mode. Also, I used the blur tool to clean up some of the paper texture.

LOL, yeah... a really good "half hearted" attemp, I might add!
I like the gradient on the background. The petals would be more interesting with slightly more details, I think?

Nice colors and background, but the yellow flower tends to blend a bit into the background.

Pretty lighting, but it makes the details in the center of the flower get lost.
