hi greetings from the Critique Club.
What I do not like is this frame does not really blend with the colors of the photo either, and as you stated the flowers are dying (which you could use to your advantage). What I do like is that this image is clearly about roses. There is nothing distracting really from that. The composition is a little to central, which makes the image IMO a little flat. Your exposure here is also pretty good. I would like to see it a little darker still on the right. Making the red against black would add a little bit of drama to the shot.
Hope that helps
Lynn

The light here is a bit harsh. Being able to see the shadow on the wall from the light source is a bit distracting. I also wish the flower at the top was not cut off. Maybe open up the frame a little so that you don't lose that one.

Nice shot .. the border colour kills the colour of the flowers though.

I recommend a sharper focus. Furthermore, a border color of red, blue, or green.

Hmm. This seems to be really harshly lit (perhaps with an on-camera flash?) and as a result there's some pretty harsh shadows. Also, the border color *really* does _not_ work with the flower color. IMO, this could be improved by backing up a little bit to keep fro mcutting off parts of the flowers, and either using a diffuser in front of the flash, or by using better/softer lighting.

Wish the flowers were in better focus. Lighting a little uneven.

the border you chose doesn't go with the photo IMO. A red might have helped, but a pink is too light a color heree.. its distracting and trying to draw attention from the picture
