Went to a local pond and there were a ton of frogs peeking out of the water, so I grabbed the tripod and the new lens and started shooting. I had just read about the challenge, so I was trying to compose with the rule of thirds in mind at least, figuring this wasn't a time to try to break rules and be creative. Get the frog in focus, get enough light in, try to find a decent coloring with the white balance and don't center it.

My challenge entries have been doing incredibly poorly lately... hoping this little guy brings me at least a 5.5 to keep my average above average.

Thats a weird looking frog, looks like hes got a coin on the side of his head or something. Good capture though and nice composition.

i noticed this site promotes different placement of subject wich is GREAT! though sometimes the eye will not go to subject if it is placed wrong, i think the frog could be in the frame a bit more so my eye goes right to him, there seems to be a lot of blur around him wich can be considered distracting, still you did well with this!
