 Simply a macro shot, nice and close with window light and a reflector. USM, levels, curves, dodging, burning, canvas, save for web. That's about it. Spot healed some stray polen as well. 1675

Very nice job, no distracting elements, good light and colors.
What I like most is your choice of composition is good but my favorite is what you chose as the ' most in focus' this is not the typical focal point but with all the other very well chosen aspects the focal point serves to give this flower a unique take.
Can't be too critical it's a lovely shot. If I had a personal dislike/criticism it would only be to desaturate the yellow a little bit.

Great finish in a very competitive challenge! This is an exceptional macro; what really makes it unique are the little pink curls and the one short petal.

There are a lot of macros in this challenge...as expected. This is one of my favorites. I like how the petals lead out of the frame. I have to admit, I also like the dwarf petal in there.

OOOO AAAAAA Love the colors. Would have been a good "Fireworks" shot. But, then, there's that issue again with using flowers.... This one is superb! 10

Wow. The colors and lines of this are just beautiful. I could go either way about the border - it's not annoying, but it doesn't seem to add anything either. But the flower itself is just Wow.

5 - Nice detail. A little more height, especially for added balance, likely helped this in my opinion. Frame, both thickness and color, detract - again, my opinion.
