I was focusing on the cluster of flowers when the bumble bee decided it was time for an exclusive. I didn't even know it was in the picture until I looked at it later.

In case you haven't seen it, there's a tutorial here that can help in making sure you size your photo to the largest allowable size.

Wrong challenge? Nice photo otherwise
07/11/2006 05:51:11 PM
Relationship to stationery? Also, and I'm sure others will say it, use the full size you can.

Finally, the bee's out of focus.
07/11/2006 01:23:29 PM
Did not meet challenge guidelines
07/11/2006 06:58:32 AM
What? Does this really bee-long here???
07/11/2006 05:59:21 AM
Image is on the small side. Wonderful lighting/color with the flowers.

Yor image is too small, doesn't really show the subject (the bee) well, and had nothing to do with stationery.
07/10/2006 12:32:38 PM
very nice photo, however dnmc imo
07/10/2006 10:58:03 AM
Where is stationery?
07/09/2006 07:23:40 PM
dnmc
07/09/2006 05:29:04 PM
ooops... :)
07/09/2006 06:11:23 AM
Wrong category, huh? :O)
07/08/2006 08:20:38 PM
oops

Boy - you got me stumped on this one. Not even sure how it would fit the other stationary challenge let alone this one. Maybe the flower challenge? Probably getting alot of the dreaded DNMC comments though - so here is something different maybe. You have a good capture of the bee. Nice colors in the flowers but you really lose most of the impact with the size of the picture. There is a tutorial on this site abouut saving your pictures for the web to maximize the 150k within the 640pixel limit. At a larger size more detail and impact would have been had with this shot (even more so in the right challenge). If you are new here welcome to DPC and dont let the comments get you down. There is always the next challenge and the past ones get forgotten quick. If you have been around for a while then I ask "What are you thinking man?" Seriously, good luck on future challenges and find that tutorial.

I think you entered the wrong challenge - stationery with an "e" for "envelope" doesn't fit this image.
07/08/2006 02:03:03 PM
How does this fit for stationery??
07/08/2006 12:52:26 PM
i don't see how this fits the challenge, but nice colors
07/08/2006 01:17:46 AM
So, no "stationery," and a terribly tiny image. Where's that "1"...?
07/07/2006 09:34:04 AM
I think you entered the wrong challenge. Even if this were the Stationary Challenge, the bee is still in flight and wouldn't really fit well into the challenge. You might also want to check you photo size before your next submission.

Edit for spelling

I don't see how this is Stationery, or for that matter, "Stationery". The photo is much too small.
07/06/2006 07:20:56 PM
nice picture, but I'm not sure how it fits in this challenge.
07/06/2006 04:21:14 PM
I don't see what this has to do with writing items - or perhaps you submitted to the wrong one by mistake?
07/06/2006 02:39:38 PM
I am sure you would disagree or you wouldn't have entered the photo in this challenge, but IMO DNMC.

A bumble bee and flowers in the stationery challenge? I'm lost.
07/06/2006 07:56:57 AM
Great photo, good colours and comp, not sure what it has to do with stationery though...
07/06/2006 06:59:06 AM
I think this is the wrong challenge..but nice colours anyway.
07/05/2006 07:02:30 PM
This does not seem to fit the challenge.
07/05/2006 04:50:46 PM
Need to bee in focus more.

I think you entered this in the wrong challenge because it has nothing to do with stationery (writing supplies)

are you sure you have the right challenge? where's the paper?

This would be easier to see if it were larger, and I think it is in the wrong challenge. It seems to be taken in bright sunlight, so perhaps a different time of day would cut down on the glare. I also think the bee should be more in focus.

cool shot, but not sure how it meets the challenge...

A bit small to see properly

stationery???? pens, pencils???
07/05/2006 09:14:12 AM
It's hard to see how I can compete for a brown ribbon when you enter something so small and irrelevant. 1 or 2
07/05/2006 05:07:52 AM
Entered the wrong challenge eh?

07/05/2006 05:05:54 AM
Wrong challenge or just trying to score low?
  Photographer found comment helpful.
07/05/2006 01:01:06 AM
i'm not sure how this meets the challenge... it's too small, too... make sure you use the full 640 pixels they allow!

I'm guessing this was entered in the wrong challenge?
