 While out in the hills, intending to shoot an old bulldozer on blocks for "stationary", I found a barbed wire fence with a "No Hunting" sign on it. As I kneeled next to the fence to take a picture, I noticed this grasshopper on top of the barbed wire. Since the grasshopper was very still, I put on my macro lens and shot this a few inches away. Post-processing included cropping, adjustment layers for Curves, Brightness/Contrast, Hue/Saturation, and then Save for Web.

lovely colors and the background suits the rest! composition is very interesting.

I love the detail you captured in the grasshopper. You may want to try a square crop on this image to eliminate the distraction of the fencepost.

i like this, the orange-brown colour of rust goes well with the orange legs of the hopper and the light orange background, real nice color composition.

Nice composition, DOF and color tone to this. I doubt your grasshopper stayed stationary for long. Great capture.
