Bummer, I'd given it an 8. One of my favs. The human element really gave the 'works a boost for me. Love the perspective and the whole "All American Passtime" thing worked together. |

Well looking at karmabreeze's photo and Cutter's final shot I'm at a loss as to why this was DQed. Seems like another case of selective enforcement to me but as you stated what can you do? I hope if I ever get snagged like this I'll handle it as well as you. |

For those curious, I suspect it was the upper portion of the scoreboard, which you can see here in this daytime photo taken from a fairly similar angle: Coors Field

The firework is cool but for me the people in the lower right make the shot. I think its the dudes ballcap and the way their faces are all perfectly looking at the burst. Congrats on a fine pic with excellent composition. |

In terms of the actual fireworks this wasn't that good comparably speaking however, everything else about this was fantastic from the composition to the storytelling. Really a fantastic image that I'm sure the Colorado Rockies would love to have I'm sure. Congrats you're really a master at this!

I wish the firework was a little more colorful, but the whole shot is great here. It has almost a Norman Rockwell painting feel to me...I think because of the couple in the foreground of the shot. The ballcap, the location and there study of the firework really give a nice perspective to this shot. One of my favorites for the challenge. |
