I know this is a bit of a 'shoehorn' entry and the title's a little awkward, but it's my first eligible member challenge so I decided to enter anyways. It's also my first attempt at dodge/burn so we'll see how this little 'experiment' works out for me :)

This was very difficult to process as my monitor can't be calibrated properly; eventhought the brightness/contrast is maxed, everything still shows up dark. I had to assume it looked ok, as I couldn't even see half of the picture properly on this monitor. Guess I'll see what everyone else sees when I get to work Monday morning and I have access to a decent monitor :)

After challenge:
Ugh...can't believe how bad this came out. I undercompensated and it ended up being too dark. I'm surprised it did as well as it did, and it came out with a fav! I think I might re-edit this and add it to my portfolio.

IMHO a tad too dark but very nice in it's subtlety!

IMO, could use more contrast, but I like the simplicity.

Very nice...perhaps just a touch more contrast on the fingers, and I also wish I could make out just a little bit more of the thumb on the left side, and a little bit of the face might be a bit nice as well, but then the angle probably wouldn't have shown all of the fingers on the other side!! :)

I love the title, and what you tried to achive. However, it's lacking a little contrast, and it's too dark IMO.

Great underexposed image. Lots of emotive qualities. I like the tones, the use of black & white. I like the feeling it is portraying. Its a simple image in composition but brings a good deal of interest to the viewer to delve into. I do wish that all the fingers were visible since they are referenced to as "ten" bars and this is the 10 challenge. Still disregarding the challenge title I think this is an excellent entry. 8

nice minimalist lighting to empasize the hands. A little highlight or backlight through the hair might improve this. Strong image.

great low key shot...would have liked to have seen all 10 fingers here, but good shot

Nice idea and the execution came out well. I'd probably would have went with a less descriptive title say just "Bars", that way anybody that didn't get it may stick around longer trying to.
