I started to name this image with some reference to Spinal Tap and this amp only going to 10. I wasn't sure how many would get the reference though. I tried probably 20 different angles to get the 10's to show up more predominately, but nothing else worked very well or was just a picture of some knobs set on 10.
Thanks for the votes and especially thanks for all that left a comment.
Oh, and yeah, my other amp goes to 11, but that would have gotten me a DNMC. :) |

Meets the challenge well. I like the title. The lighting looks good and the focus is nice. I'm not sure about the composition for a couple of reasons. First the guitar in the background does further the story a bit and compliments the idea of the image but the fact that it is background and blurred out distracts me. Seeing it makes me wish it were more in focus which would defeat the purpose of it being background and a supporting role so I can't decide if it works for me or not. Also, I can't really read the name of the amp or whatever this thingie is (I don't know musical equipment!) and that's due to the way the camera is facing. I'd much prefer to be able to read the name easily - especially since it has much of the crisp focus on it. A slight turn in perspective would achieve that as well as maybe make the 10s just a bit more obvious. Still you'd lose the guitar in the background so its a tough call. Overall I gave a 6 |

Oh but of course you know that those other ones go to eleven.... (I hope you've seen This is Spinal Tap or this will make no sense!)
To comment on the shot itself - I love the guitar in the background. I wish that the metal plate at top right and the F had not been cut off. I like the addition of the red light being on. |

I love guitars and amps. Finding a new way to shoot them is tough. Nice job. |

is this twin reverb? that is one loud amp. I think a larger DoF would have been nice if all the knobs were on ten and a camera angle to see all of them. just a suggestion, |
