Lightened Shadows, Saturated Colors, USM, Resized.......
A New Perspective on things is what I'm all about! Not intentionally mind you,...Just a bad case of the "Cain't-Help-It's." I think I'm hysterical. People who think like I do...Dittos! However, it's sad how many Nuero-Typicals take years to understand me (if EVER.) Humor is so much a part of me that I have to let it out upon occasion.
This photo was done "on a lark" and as a wonderful surprise to me the reflection of my camera & my hands "showed up" in the picture after I downloaded them to my computer for processing.
This is typical of my photo sessions. I create some of my best photos by accident much like an avant garde painter will throw paint at a canvas that sells for thousands of dollars.
My process is much like Jim Carrey's process as demonstrated in the outtakes of the movie, Bruce Almighty, although I will be the first to admit that my humor pales in comparison to his.
The old saying is that "Success is the Sweetest Revenge!" It is one of the highest goals of my life to either create or capture a photograph that is so subtle in its humor that it looks like a legitimately-superb photograph with a subtly-humorous title so that only people like me "get it," the NTs like it, and it finishes in the top three!
Tall Order? Probably! But what's a Goal if you don't "shoot for the moon"? |

It was just a dumb idea that turned out to be smart in many ways! How funny is that?
As I was looking at the many ways that Perspective could be interpreted, "a wild hair" shot out of my brain and apparently landed "under my eye" as so many have been gracious to point out.
The comic genius of Red Skelton, Jim Carrey, Robin Williams, and Eddie Murphy has been the ability to "play the fool" whether in character or in life in order to evoke laughter. I tried to imagine what it would be like for a person who was not particularly technology-savvy to encounter a digital camera for the first time.
"Hey, Kid, is this the part you look into or the part that takes the picture?"
I just held the camera out in front of me taking a bunch of photos by pointing the camera toward the side of my head, waiting for the little tone that "says" I'm in focus, and pushing the plunger so that a wonderful picture could explode onto my flashcard.
And there you have it...I am not the world's BEST photographer, but I am one of the most fearless who believes that "Insanity usually makes great ART!!!!"

Nice concept. Poor realisation though. A closer crop and better contrast wouls have helped IMO. And a little more careful preparing the shot (the fallen eyelash) |

I like the eye portion of the shot, excellent job on the reflection. I pretty much dislike everything else about this shot, the red color hue in the skin, the harsh lighting and the composition are not to my taste so I ended up giving this a 5. Nice idea. |

eye lash...needs to go. It distracts from a very good (but hairy) image. Ever thought about tweezing a little? just a thought... |

nice job at a new perspective. The coloration of the skin tones don't appear to be all that realistic though. I think with a bit more "vibrant" colors the reflection would stand out better. |

Would have been a great shot had it not been for that stray eyelash. My eye went straight to it. But I like the detail. Seems washed out in the left side also. |

There is a spot on top left corner that is distracting.. |
