This is the same wetlands ive photographed for acouple of my entries and i just love it. This time when i went there though the water was all brown and had tons of moss in it. With the powerstation right behind this i thought of progress, both good and bad. Im probably going to get slamed for not being obvious enough but i didnt want a closer crop, i wanted the whole picture. Oh well i still think its beautiful.

Beautiful picture, great color treatment. Sad at the same time.

To make a stronger commentary (to match the title), needs more emphasis on the power lines.

excellent photo of the downside of progress, and nice bird in the photo too

Sad topic. Reflection of sky is nice and lone bird flying just over the water adds greatly to picture.

Beautiful shot. You may have overdone the saturation level--the clouds look kind of funny.

Not really seeing your point here- "invasion" of what. Some very far off telephone and electricity polls?? What does your computer run on?

Beautiful exposure, ooooooh! The reflection of the clouds is dreamlike. I actually prefer the reflection to the actual clouds - would be awesome with just the wetland, but I guess you have to get the powerlines in there too to meet the challenge :-) The mountain in the background adds a nice bit of interest.

...is not progress but something that should be addressed more aggressively. In all, the clouds are over-sharpened.

Good choice for the challenge; lovely blues in the sky! I'd crop a bit off the top to bring the horizon up a bit closer to the 2/3's point for balance. While the sky is gorgeous, it's the reflection in the water that I like best and would like to see it take a bit more prominence. Nice job!

I dont think the power poles are enough of a feature in the shot to do you title justice. Nice colours in the sky.
