 This is a nun. Although she wasn't wearing a habit, I could tell, plus I took her photo at a hospital with Catholic ties. She was observing a charity event for the children's oncology research center that I attended with my husband. She had no idea I was taking her picture.

I'm surprised this didn't do better. The tones are beautiful, as is her mouth (and all those lines, of course). I wonder if the slight decrease in sharpness on her cheeks is what dragged the score down - that's the only thing I can think of, but I don't entirely understand. I would've given this a 7 or 8, but my votes never seem to match the middle of the curve. I love the title that is a perfect match to the catchlight in her eye.

Nice composition and great subject. Feels too dark on the left, though. Maybe a small fill or an eye light would have helped?

Wow! The character that face emanates! She looks a little like life has beaten her up a little. . .but the photo draws me and touches me! Great job!!

A bit too sharp, and the ugly color noise comes through as a result (even in monochrome).
