Fantastic Macro, good detail to it, and excellent color. This does meet the challenge but I feel you lost some points from voters cause the water droplets just distract so much from the spider had this not been an insect challenge and rather just macro I am sure that would have added to it, but in this case it hurt you.

| Great subjet. I take a lot of Argiope aurantia pictures myself. I have to say, though, the house or garage makes a terrible background, and the lighting is too harsh and flat/frontal. It's a good start. |

| Beautiful macro. Composition is really good. Love the reflections of the droplets of water. Love the colors you captured. The design of the body on this spider is so beautiful. Great capture. |

| Not considered an insect. It is an aracnid. Name is actually Argiope aurantia. |

| I love these golden orbs (even thought I am spider-phobic, and the web design is always interesting..nice capture with the dew (or rain) drops |

| This is the black and yellow garden spider. They are harmless to humans. Aren't they gorgeous? Nice shot. |

| I'm sure you'll hear more comments like this, but it isn't an insect. That said, I think the spidey needs some saturation boost, the colors are a bit dull. |
