 its not a real beach but some kind of beach party
in fact it was the home of a 16-day during festival of theater music and more good things in life
its about the figures on the roof -all skillfull painted on wood -wich have these very typical 'beachposes' i think
the genius and creater of this whole setting Bas Zuyderland explained to me he tried to express an ambiance where many people are together on a beach ..but still everyone so in his own world..especially on a beach.. with the sun beating down and the hypnotic rhytm of the sea in the background and all the noises in the air..slightly surreal maybe sometimes

Oh, I so love this and the pink just adds wonderfully to the whole image! I kinda like the nonchalance feel to the whole composition too. Totally quirky and fun.

Strange picture... :o) I find it funny seeing these "people" (or pictures) on the roof like they are afraid of the sand or something... The picture it self, to close cropping at the top, and I am not sure about the subject, the people or the sand or??? But, good luck to you and your picture :o)

Trippy. I wish the image wasn't cropped so tightly across the very "out of the ordinary" top portion. The border is a bit thick but the white works.

can't figure out what's going on here...why are they on the roof ? There seems to be a beach !Very interesting photo,i like the composition & colors. A slice of life...I bet in Europe

Very quirky and fun photo. The fact that the sun chairs are empty helps make this so interesting, it would be nice if there was some sort of arrangement that created better balance tough.

I'd love this more if the people weren't on the roof to be honest. I find them distracting as they are almost cut off in the photo.
