I adore this! Notice how the dark part of the background is behind his head and upper body, creating a "bust" of sorts. This contrasts with his body as a whole, which is dynamic and moving, as emphasized by the lines on the ground. The eye is drawn to the boy, but the boy himself is outward-directed, creating an overall dynamism to the picture. and it doesn't hurt that he has such a kick-a$$ expression on his face. ;) |

I like the shot..would have loved it more if it was taken from above..so that you won't see too much of the wall behind!

This challenge seemed to be a we-don't-comment-too-much-challenge.. I had the same problem ;-)
Composition looks good for me, I like the way your son looks into the photo. I think I'd crop the top-part & a bit of the left (bricks around waerfall) to get the feeling the waterfall is even bigger.
There are lines everywhere, but the main focus is on your son. But still, I do like this photo. Nice job! |
