It's abstract enough alright. Great idea. The lighting seems to be coming from the side which produces those side shadows. Think I would've liked it better with the light shining in from the top? so no shadows and should've revealed less of the paper texture. |

It's absract enough for me to give it a decent score. But I'd go higher if you had managed your light a little better. This kind of shot should have no shadows. They are especially distracting on the yellow side with the onion. Still this is a good shot. Don't worry about hte DPC voters. They don't get me either. |

LOL! Nice anticipation! ... It is sometimes tough to hear that sorta thing :) I I think the strong colors in the background take away from the fruit ... picky enough ? ;] 6 |

this is not abstract enough - DNMC :P
seriously - nice work using complimentary colors. The shadows might have been avoided by using a reflector, or bouncing the light - but overall a nice job |

Well you shot it well although I probably would have liked to see the onion dodged some so as to brighten the top part of it. |

Cute, but I'd rather have the image do the talking instead of the title. Concerning the image, it would have helped to use some bounced light coming from the bottom right to eliminate the shadows some. The yellow paper could pop a bit more too with better lighting and/or exposure. Good luck in the challenge. |

(Is My Opinion) the diagonal is too perfect (next time try to break just a little the perfection and you'll get a more dinamic composition). The relation between the amout of colors is not the best. Read some about the theory of color in the net to understand what I'm talking about. Good Luk. 6 |

it isn't abstract enough (jk) 8P...seriously though, like the colours and composition. There seems to be a slight problem with noise in the yellow background. |

Abstact enough to get a 7 from me... would have scored higher if you hadn't had the shadows from the flash on the onion and the orange. |

The only things I don't like are the shadows cast by the food and the onion seems dried out or something. As for whether or not it's "abstract enough" is just ridiculous for people to comment on. There are SO many definitions of abstract and you portrayed one version of it. Macro does NOT equal abstract...it is only a version.
Your photo is unique, simple, colorful AND abstract. I LOVE abstract work, I just can't do it myself.
I give you an 8.

ha, the title made me laugh. I wish the shadows weren't there, but I'll give you a point for the guts to stick your finger in the eye of voters. 7 |

I'm sorry, this just isn't abstract enough... If I was a member, I would have given it a 1. (j/k) |

abstract: Having an intellectual and affective artistic content that depends solely on intrinsic form rather than on narrative content or pictorial representation

The lighting set up needs work. I think the shadows are distracting. There is also a lot of grain in the yellow. But yeah, its abstract ! ! ! |
