I have always wanted to try and capture steam or smoke. Here is my first attempt.

Lovely effect. Simple and uncomplicated, although not 2 abstact. Did u get the steam 2 show just with backlighting? (I tried with some gravy steam some tims ago, but not with your success.)

Nice clear image, but abstract??? Kudos on producing a very nice image, but I fear some may not be as generous as I, and you may feel the wrath of some of the DNMC voters.

Great shot, but I wouldn't really call it abstract. Giving you a fair score nonetheless as I think this is a good image.

Abstract as I perceive abstract? Not really - this is really more literal to me.
Do I like it? I do like the steam and the lighting.
Technicals? The glow the lighting creates on the potato is good. The fork out of focus bothers me a bit since this is more of a literal shot.
A closer view of just one side of the potato (preferably the glowy part) and the steam would have been more of an abstract.

I like this entire picture with the exception of the fork. It seems to be a bit blurry. I think it would serve this picture well to see everything in focus. But other than that, its great! 8
