If you'd cropped in so the shapes of the cows were the dominant visual theme, I'd have voted you a point or two higher. As it is, it's not an abstract.

too rare for me, I like mine more of a medium-well done. :) A fill flash may have helped catch more detail in the animals face and added more interest to the shot.

With the car coming down the road I guess you are telling the future. I like the idea and the humor it includes, the cows just needed to be out of the shade so there is some detail.

I don't consider this food (food is normally dead) and it certainly isn't abstract. As for the technicals of the photo, harsh light and shadows have taken away all details from the animals.
