I kept seeing this bust on my way to and from work. When the lines challenge came up, I figured I would use her as the model, since she was behind the lines of the stain glass.

This is my second challenge, and found out the hard way the you can't really compose the shot in it's near final state while shooting RAW and at 8mp resolution! there is no way that it will meet the rules! So I had to let a number of other good shots go... But not to worry, I am learning every week!

In any case the original of this is a lot bigger, but I just cropped it, made it 8 bit gray, and added a film grain over the top of it. I particularly like the old look, while you see the reflection of a high rise on the glass....

In any case her it is!

Cheers

I love reflections, especially fragmented reflections! The graininess just emphasizes the silent movie star quality of the mannequin-doll. I gave this a 7.

Less noise and a wider angle would add alot to this intreging photo.

Wow. I am having a hard time deciding what I think about this. First of all, I love the grain. I think its application here was warranted. Im not sure if I like the shot-through-the-glass look, but without it you'd have missed the lines. Of course I am not sure that I don't like it either. I think overall, its a great photo. It made me stop and study it and really think about what comprises the image. Good job. 9
