A simple lake shot with tall grass. Fishing pole stuck in the weeds, waiting to be used by passers-by. Calm breeze rippling the water.
Sunny, warm day. Shot at 10:49, so the sun was already high.
Challenge Details: Take a trip to the beach and make a photograph of something you find there. For the purposes of this challenge, a "beach" is any strip of land bordering a body of water, be it ocean, lake, pond, or river.
I think it fits the challenge.
Post processing was simple...Increase saturation to get a lot greener, and to better see the green come out of the water. Adjusted the saturation, flatten, cropped and fixed the tilt. I then resized and USM, then saved for web.
Got a bit of jaggies on the pole coming from the resize. |

john, thanks for the comment and I thoughtI would return the comment. This is a nice shot of the water but the colors and greens feel oversaturated. I think as suggested havin someone else in the photo may have helped also. I really like how you have the reeds in bottom left, its a nice detail. Thanks again for your comment. joe |

It would have been better with a person. |

Seems odd with just the real & rod with no one sitting there. I think if you could of had a person in the picture it would of added to the photograph since most people that go fishing do so to be alone or just be in a peaceful place. You photograph offers a nice peaceful view and the human element would of given it depth. The greens seem to be a bit over saturated but the lighting, DOF, and focus are good. |

The greens look unnatural. Possibly too much selective color or saturation? |

I like the setup of this image, as it is very serene. The greens are slightly over saturated for my tastes. No offence intended if the color of the grass is accurate. It̢۪s just my opinion regarding how it appears from my vantage point. |

Belle photo, il manque seulement le pêcheur, qui était probablement présent. |

Wow...that's really, really green! Maybe I'm just not used to that color since I live in the desert? |
