good message. I wish I could say that this didn't hit close to home but life moves on. great job at cracking 5 with that many 3s and under.

Whoa.
Unlike many of the entries in the Lines challenge, this one says something.

I didn't understand this photo the first time I looked at it. Now, on second thought (after I read the title) I'd like to change the score - I hope it works.

the hint of the flag is good, but maybe a little subtle. good concept though.

Very striking picture.
I would have liked to see some more saturation to bring out the stars and stripes, and the blood, because they get a bit lost, for me, now.

so how bad ARE the comments? :) i'm really impressed with the setup (flag overlay, blood-- that's not barbecue sauce this time, what is it?) and the lighting's really good. nice commentary, too... sad, but true. if only that nice cop could have seen this. ;)

love the shot, however i feel as if the crop is too tight simply to include all aspects or maybe the set up? i would have loved to this from a bit further out that's all, i donno but i still love this picture, great tones ( darkness of this picture reminds me of the underground world portrayed in the movie minority report) but that's just me, for you, an 8!

I commend you on your strong statement, but I am not a fan of those lines.

This pic is a bit too busy for my tastes. Too much is fighting for my attention. And the blood is almost lost in the dark spot.

I like the subject and wonderful interpretation.
For me though, seems a bit overly blurred.
