I have to brag a little here. A long time ago I bought a book of crazy, adventure records from around the world, like running up Mount Kilamanjaro, or swimming the English Channel etc. One of them was running through the Samara Gorge in Crete. This is one of the records I tried. It was the middle of July, the hottest time of the year. The gates opened at 6am at the top of the gorge and I had running shorts and shoes and a small back pack with two liters of water and let loose. I came from a running background and had a 10km best time of 29.55 at that time plus I had trained for running over rocky terrain the months beforehand. The previous record for the 17km was a touch over two hours and I clocked 1 hour 33 minutes. That was back in 1990, my name is still in the book in the restaurant when you arrive in Agia Roumeli. End of brag :) So this photo brings back those adventurous memories. |

Sorry, can't see the connection with lines. A bit overexposed too I think. |
