 Saw the storm, had my camera but no tripod. Making the best of things, I hand-held the camera, and manually triggered when I saw the lightning stroke leader... it actually turned out to be much easier than I thought to "catch" the lightning this way, as the small initial stroke seemed to set off multiple subsequent ones...
