 This photograph is of my partners parents who were married in 1936 (Rene and Donald)
These are their wedding rings which since they past away were left to us.
We treasure them very much The original photo is only very small and is a group shot so it was
quite difficult to get it right

Excellent memory; Nostalgia meter at 100% and I think done in a universal manner that everyone of various cultures will get. The DOF is excellent. I like the slight blur on the foreground of the ring but the sharpness of the inside plus the photo in the background. In my top 5 so far. After reviewing all the photos, this still ended up near the top. I'll stick firm with the 9 rating.

A very personal "nostalgic" look.

But nice nontheless - though I have not entered this challenge I had a similar idea but not using rings i.e.old picture of relative with legacy items.

Very nice composition with nice sentiment.
My only suggestion would be that you had used something other then the stark white. It's too bright. Something in a warm tone would of helped with the reflections on the rings also.

Nicely composed shot. I like the lace used as the "base" for the rings.
