Great job! However, a water shot, or even a shoreline shot, does not always mean 'beach' in my opinion. And meeting the challenge, to me, is the first and most important thing, if that isn't done, then anything else is unimportant. Doesn't mean it's not a beautiful and creative shot, because in this case, it absolutely is! I do love it! I went back and forth on how to score your pic, but I do vote low for those that I don't think meet the challenge, so to be consistant, I am voting this lower than I want for the reasons stated above.

The wandering river draws the eyes to the top of the photo which is good, but the trees are slightly blow out in the hilites. This would look better with more tree height included - but a good image none the less.

The picture seems a bit out of focus. Also, the exposure is intriguing. The eye tends to go all over the place. I think it's too busy, I mean, thre's no primary subject. Maybe another crop would define better.

Kinda hard to see the fisherman. He doesn't stand out very noticeably from his surroundings.

too much other stuff going on... you almost lose the fisherman.

Good composition. The light is somewhat harsh and the focus is a little soft on your subject. Looks like a beautiful spot.

Looks more like the woods than the beach. Good comp although it looks over sharpened.

hmm... I like the composition and the view but I'm not so sure about the colours.. To make it look less like a snapshot I think you should have experimented with the colour scales in your photo editing software. The impact would have been greater.. Still a nice catch
