 Took this on my backpacking trip this past week. Absolutely incredible sky. I got over 60 shots of the sky that night and only the first 15 or so are okay because I freakin knocked the focus off mid shoot. Stupid D50 kit lens is crap. Autofocus=crap.

That aside a few turned out and I liked this because of the simplicity. "Gold" in essence. Not focusing on pretty tree patterns, but a golden rising behind. This is my first serious entry :).

Very little post edit. The color is brought out a little and a did curves on RGB for a little more contrast, but I didn't change the hue.

more ornage than gold - and I would have liked to see more of the landscape than just the sky
