I think this is a Forest Bug (Pentatoma rufipes), as Hawthorn Shield Bugs (Acanthosoma haemorrhoidale) are predominantly green. Nice shot, but shame you didn't catch him on a nice green leaf for contrast. Looks like good detail, but why not crop some of the 'empty' space to left and right and have the subject occupy more of the shot? |

Nice coloring on the insect. It might have been a better photo shot at an angle so the insect doesn't blend in as much. |
