Great subject. Nice depth of field. Wish you could caught the wings extended to add more area covered by the insect. |

This is a unique angle for a butterly shot. Nice rich colors and good choice of focus. |

A gorgeous rendering, technically proficient, a feast of an image! The folded wings vs. the rotundity of the petal, the repetition of warm tones between subject and habitat (the blurred -blotch-, the washed yellows) make for an unusual and striking aesthetic and natural composition.
The lack of a decorative border, especially, is a very fine distinction. |

A little more depth of field would have been nice. I feel there is too much blur in the picture for my tastes. If the wings were in focus it would have be fabulous. Great capture still! |

Great composition. The contrasts could be enhanced a little. |

Yet, nice title -- he needs a shave.
In terms of composition I like the layout of the picture, good balance.
Technically I'll gripe a little bit, I'd like to have seen either a little bit more/a little bit less depth of field. I think either up to the antenna should have been in focus, or just the head of the butterfly. |

I like the composition, but find the centre of the flower, though OOF, distracts me from the butterflies face. Also, it looks a little ocersharpened (light halo around the eyes and legs). |
