Trading Post - You easily met the challenge here, but I think the softness of focus is what really hurt you. An interesting setup and combo of items, a bit od burning to make your blacks darker may have also helped make both of your subjects pop out a bit more. |

Very interesting setup. I think the lion head is OOF in someway though. Other than more sharpening or maybe a different lighting, I don't know what to suggest. I've tried a few times to work in raw, but can't seem to get the hang of it. |

I like the quietness of this. Meets the challenge well, but I suspect the low vote is due to the lack of crisp focus on the lion's head. Composition seems just a bit off-balance, but in looking at it, I'm not sure what to suggest to change it. I wouldn't crop off the left - I like that space there, but maybe had the umbrella been angled a bit more into the bottom of the picture? Not sure. |

Nice soft tones, but maybe a bit too soft for me. |

Color (or lack thereof!) is nice, but the focus seems a bit soft. Bumbershoot is the coolest new word I have heard in a long time! |

Just not enough focus in the shot. |

Lion statue ar nice but compozition feels too stiff. I would actually try to find another object instead of umbrella. |

Nice.
I would have experimented with making the blacks a little blacker, and maybe altering the angle of the brolly to bring it closer to the bottom left corner. and maybe going quater-face with the lion.
But overall, it works well. |
