| Is this an apple-shaped piece of metal or an apple that's been painted with gold paint? The composition is very strong and cleverly executed. One thing that I think would make this jump out even more is that, if it is indeed an apple painted with gold paint, had you left the bottom right chunk of the apple unpainted, it would've looked like the transformation to gold was progressing through the piece of fruit. Just a thought. But this works very well as is. |

| The best negative space image in my opinion. I think that a black background may have made the gold pop a bit more. |

| a Black background would have worked in your favor, and maybe do something like have the gold spreading over the apple. good idea. |
