This is the statue on top of the Mormon temple here in Albuquerque, NM. It's about all the general public is allowed to see of the temple, although I did get to go inside after it was first built. It's amazing inside and out. I'm sure this angel is solid gold, trumpet and all! I'm excited to see how the voters like it.
Shot in RAW, mid-morning. Adjusted White balance to "cloudy" settings, brought down the exposure a bit, and added some shadowing.

Adjustment Layers: curves, hue/sat, levels (blue and red separately), brightness contrast, hue/sat (blues).
A bit of burning on the building and spot cloning and healing. |

| is this Moroni? I think this would be stronger if the angel were placed on the right of the image - to provide space in the image for his trumpet call to resound, if you will. |

Not enough gold for the challenge I'm afraid. Nice shot though. Great sky. You should play around with levels and see if you can make the sky more dramatic. Or after the challenge, try making it b/w. You can take a sky like this and turn it into drama in b/w!
