 This is a macro of an old Peggy Earles hat with a hatpin in it. This picture was cropped for composition and one black layer was put behind it. A salt & pepper median filter was softly applied. A thin black border was added for contrast. Layers were merged, then it was resized and sharpened.

I like the idea but to many textures for me.

I rather like the abstractness of it, but the whole thing seems rather dull. It seems like it could use more contrast, but the whites are already blown on the pin. Maybe overexposed? (please note that I am a super amateur and may have no idea what I'm talking about)
