My first submission since moving back to Somerset in the UK from the island of Bahrain in the Middle East. I\'ve been so busy unpacking boxes, painting, gardening and organising our new home, but have continued to take my camera out and about with me when we have taken time off.

While only featuring a small \'gold\' portion, I believe we associate black and gold very much with the glorious honey or bumble bee - and the honey they produce is most definitely, gloriously gold.

Greetings!

its a very well composed picture, the colors are nice.

subject: the bee looking away from the lens doesn't make it. doesn't add interest. Also the dof is very shallow. It does help in the smooth bokeh, but makes majority of the image out of focus with subject, not to catchy.

I would have framed it tighter so that I avoid the out of focus flower ( keep it some, but not all ) which will also bring more attention to your subejct. at this time the pink color of the flower draws a lot of viewer attention which you don't want.

if you have any questions, please feel free to pm me

thanks,
Gaurawa

I don't mind the fuzziness but then I take alot of fuzzy pictures. I liked it and saw past it to what you were going for. A 7 that was well earned. Well done!

A little muzzy for a macro shot

I would have voted another angle on the bee higher

I think the flower should be in more focus and I think it's a little overexposed. I don't like the burnt out threads in the flower. The composition and the lighting are very good though.
