Greetings!
A lovely image captured. Technically you were able to achieve what you wanted, the reflector did soften the shadows, but the reflection in Kira eyes need to be cloned out, it doesn't look any good.
Also there is still some part of her face blown out, you may want to reduce your exposure, and move your reflector closer to lighten the shadows more, to be able to avoid blown out parts.
Challenge: It doesn't fit the challenge very well, not enough gold for the voters and its directly reflected in the votes received.
if you have any questions, please feel free to pm me
thanks,

What a cutey. Also hilarious to see the contrast between the sparkling energetic eyes of the infant and the weary expression of the mother. :) |

The emotion in this image is simply captivating. On my short list at the top! |

aside from the fact that mum looks like shes having a nap, this is a pretty cute family-type shot. to be honest, the mum is not really needed in the meeting the challenge sense - the ginger sprog could have carried it off on his own, methinks. i think also it might be cropped a tad close to the subjects; some space round them might be nice. still, very sweet and immensely likeable. kids expression is brill! 7. |

I want to be positive cause these are two beautiful people, but as a photograph...this is a nice family snapshot...that's about all it is...mum's eyeball poking through on the right looks a little awkward...the focus and lighting are nice |

GREAT face on the little girl! Reminds me of my own redhead.
The contrast between their expressions sets my teeth on edge, though. Maybe that's what you intended. :)
Ultimately, though, I find the connection to the challenge pretty slight. |

I don't see where this photo is relevant to this challenge. There is nothing gold here. Metaphorical gold wasn't an option IMO (i.e. golden locks of hair, golden sunsets) as they are not gold. The challenge stated to find something gold other than jewelry and photograph it. As far as the photo, it's a wonderful shot but IMO it doesn't belong in this challenge. |
