Interesting idea just not focused well enough for interest. Would have been helped by some top lighting as well.

Would like a more symmetrical balance of shadow on the left and right edges. Lower right corner is too light.

focus doesn't look very sharp - may be due to the brightness of your backlighting

Hmm, it's obvious you worked hard to get a good setup for this shot, so I'll give you props for that.
Maybe a different angle would've worked better, maybe from above?
I like the color in the background.
