| the bird is shot against a very busy background, while the lower half is empty. not good. |

| This is a great shot and really a tough capture. To get the exposure you did and the level of detail really takes some talent and I think you have every bit of this talent and more! Congrats! |

| Good exposure and nice sharp focus on the head. The composition needs just a little bit of work. The chopping of the wings and the background factory take away from this photo. |

| Nice focus on the eyes but the image is too tight on top and the pole on the bottom does not add much to the composition. |

| Great shot. IMO it would be better if the wings were not clipped at the top. |

| The bird itself is wonderful. I even like the motion blur on the wings. But the background is horrible. You either needed to shoot in a different direction or reduce your f stop to increase depth of field 6 |

| If the bird were more in the frame, it would be a higher score for me... good water color and grounding the photo with the pole, but timing is everything... 7 |
