Yesterday I was being stupid and terrorising the house when I came to mum's beautiful cups that she got for Mothers day. I set them up like in the shot.

This is what I did:

1.I got my brothers table and set it up against the freezer.

2.I laid a black cloth for the background and set up the cups and flower. Then took a series of images and chose the best one from them.

good composition and focus. I find the white dust specks on the black background detract from the overall presentation. You may want to consider cloning them out.

If this is zen to you, who am I to say it's not zen? Nice composition, nice use of color and light. A little busy, but still minimal. Great job from the "Great job Baggie"...

Nice idea and well composed, I can see a few editing 'marks' beneath the cups and at the bottom of the frame which are a little distracting (but I'm picky!) 8

Clever idea and title. That pop of yellow with the daisy is a nice touch. Maybe a bit contrived, but overall, well done. 7

Interesting still life. Would be very nice in the B&W in color challenge as well. I like the alternating cup handles, I think that adds balance to the image, I think the lighting is great too. Focus looks dead on and the composition is nice but I think I'd rather it was shifted just a bit more off-center and in a zen-sense I find the flower distracting. You have some great lines and curves andthe white and black is working wonderfully together and then eeeeeerrrrt! Bright yellow! It really interrupts the visual calm my eyes were enjoying and jolts them out of zen-mode. Still a very nice image. I gave a 6
