This is a spectacular image and I'm glad to be able to see it! Everything about it is spot on. You have perfect focus. You have perfect (built in) lighting. You have AWESOME composition! Love the way there is a bit more negative space on top than on the bottom. Makes it feel grounded. The only thing that bothers me about it is how your hair dissappears into the background. Doesn't look right being that there is hair coming over your shoulders. All in all a very nice shot.
Why didn't this do better than a 6.1? I think it's like you said. It probably didn't feel like 'zen' to a lot of voters.

| I gave this a 10 and am really surprised that it didnt finish higher. Great shot, definitely one of the most underrated in the challenge |

| I really expected this one to place much higher than it did. I saw your score in the thread and was surprised in challenge as I knew which was yours. Your outtake is excellent as well but the hand placement in your entry has the overall better feel. Very nice work and I believe the most underrated of the challenge. |

| if the orb had some hint of shape this would be a stronger photo IMO - right now it looks like a hole in the photo |

| Very creative way of showing meditation, the lighting does some very nice shaping of the subject. Hope the model didn't burn herself anywhere sensitive;) Well done! |

| Awesome! I don't know if this is Zen "style" or not but this very well (maybe abstractly) communicates the idea behind the theme. Getting illuminated from the light within (guessing thats what it represents) is so much Zen. Technically is this well executed. Lighting is just "wow". Maybe the only one thing which I would have liked more is more of negative space around to give more profound idea of 'illumination' (smaller subject compared to background). Goodluck.9. |
