Laurie, I think your picture is nice and quite Zen. I gave it a 6. If it would have been in color I think it might have scored much higher. Not bright, blazing, high contrast color but subtle color. While it is very zen to have the cloud and bird in the same shape and angle the B&W makes it seem a bit dull.
Since Zen is so subtle it sometimes just doesn't come across well in B&W (at least to me) - if you had just desaturated this around 75% and left that slight hint of color in it I think it would have been fantastic. I'd love to see a version like that! |

This would have been nice in color on color. for me I'd like the bird a bit larger in the frame. but according to your notes you thought it may be a 4.7 so I hope you were somewhat happy about the score. |

It truly does look like a mirror.
I like the light and dark on the bird, matching the light and dark halves of the sky. Nicely done. |

this is quite nice how the wings' shape and lighting mimics that of the cloud, and hence the title, which strangely took this long to just sink in. So perhaps i'm a bit slow to be judging fine art. |

A great composition. The darkness in the upper right is sucking in the eye, but it goes in without fear of uncertainty: I guess that's because the bird guides it there. The descending diagonal keeps the feelings toned down. |

Nice!!! How long did you have to wait for the clouds and bird to line up? |
