Hi! Hereâs a comment from the Critique Club.

First Impression:
Nice shot. Eye drawn to the dark hair then up to the sun glow, the shore and then back to the person.

Composition:
Centered composition works for this shot. Wide works, but I find the shallow height raising questions. Given the light & shadows, it makes me think you cropped out a bridge. Not very Zen like. I would have liked to have seen a bit more shore between the person and the bottom. They look crowded.
I like the feeling of âspace.â

Subject:
Meets challenge

Technical:
Given the Zen topic, I like what you did technically.

Suggestions:
I like the attempt at âspaceâ but more height would have been effective

Summary:
Nice shot and post processing. I think the cropping and the aggressive aspect ratio may have worked against you.

I liked this shot a lot and gave it a 9, thought it would finish higher than it did.

Nice. I really like how there is a distinct line connecting the girl and the light.

very nice color in the water. thats a lovely reflection of the suns light. but I would prefer more space under her tush. just a tad. it seems like the picture is cut off too soon.

A very nice photo, meets challenge by it's minimal use of color and subject matter. The movement in the water is a tad distracting from the overall attempt at calmness, in my opinion, but still one of the better shots on this challenge that I've seen so far. Great job from the 'Great Job Baggie'!

I'm glad you see not many things being captured in this photo. I like the idea but would have preferred to see non-centered placement of subject and a little more of background. Selective desat works well on this one. Goodluck.7.

Cropping is a little tight for my tastes. Love the expanse horizontally, would have like to have seen more vertically.

She´s too close too the border in my opinion, I like the desaturation :)

Nice idea, good colours. I would like to have seen just a little more room at the bottom of the frame but still an 8 from me :o)

I like how the sun is coming right "into her." I might leave a tad more space in the foreground. Simple and pretty.

I would like to see more water and the subject off center. Like the muted colors.
