I love the simplicity of this. The organically shaped teapot contrasting with the linear scope of the blinds, the cool blue-gray contrasting with the brightly colored teapot and the low horizon line contrasting with all the verticals. Simply fabulous. I do wish there was a little light on the left side of the teapot but that's a minor thing. Very well composed and I find it meets both the challenge definition of zen and my own inner definition. Bumping from a 7 to a 8. |

I cannot pour your
teapot. I cannot drink your
picture. I go home. |

BRILLIANT!! This is my favorite image from this shoot so far. As a matter of fact I'm adding it to my favorites! I love the way you used the Venetian blinds as dead space. |

Looks like an English teapot to me ;) ... still gets an 8, I like the balance, the splash of subtle colour and the soft lighting. |

Awesome simplicity, nice minimal use of color, however, the striping in the blinds makes it a bit busier than I'd like to see. I'm scoring high, but not as high as I'd like because of that reason. Great job from the 'Great Job Baggie'! |

Nice and simple. Great lines and the teapot breaks it up just enough. Fits the challenge perfectly. Bumping up. |

this is very lovely, and nicely creative. i love the composition and the clever use of space (rule of sixths, aye?). my only slight criticism is that i wish it was a little brighter, or the colours a little boulder; my preconceived expectations would be for a very red rather than maroon tea pot. it's still a very nice shot though - 8. |

I don't think the teapot helps here. Placing it on the shelf especially suddenly makes the shelf just a shelf and also makes the window blinds, window blinds. Without the teapot, the image becomes something totally different, which for me would have been more zen-like. Anyway, just my opinion. |

I like the lines and the composition. Maybe a little too top heavy. |

would have liked this better in landscape format (had cropped the upper half off) |

Surely Zen. I love your choice of bright small subject and large colorless background. I just wish the lighting was a little better on teapot ...maybe a little warme. Hope this does well for you.8. |

This is a very interesting photo. I really like it, because it is diffrent. I think of Zen when I see this right away, but it is very nice. 7 |

Kind of imparts an "industrial" zen for some reason. I think it's the blinds. |
