Wonderful clarity in the foreground and the natural light doesn't overwhelm the image at all. Typically a photo with so much detail and movement would jar me out of a zen-like feeling but I think this captures an essence of meditation. I can almost feel the little budda guy bringing the stillness to the foreground around him by his sheer meditative powers and blocking out the rushing/crashing distractions of the waterfall in the background. I absolutely love how this was composed. The clear delination between the still foreground and the chaotic background really speaks zen to me. Very nicely done. My one tiny nitpick is that the whole of the statue body isn't showing, but that's very minor. I gave a 9 and favorited. |

A very nice pic, but a bit too distracted away from the simple subject. My eye is drawn away from the subject and into the details of the background. To me, that interrupts the serenity that you are trying to create. Pretty though! |
