It looks like his action will be to eat the photographer. Nice catch, sharp rendition.

Oh my - you deserve a 10 for bravery! Awesome capture.

Eeeeeeeeee. .. .great capture. Look at that MEAN face!
08/07/2006 11:21:39 PM
wow. I don't think I would want to be on the receiving end of that snarl. I have had many coyote encounters, never one like this. I am amazed that it stood it's ground. excellent capture

this just doesnt lok real to me...looks more like a display somewhere.
08/06/2006 02:34:17 PM
Great shot! This doesn't look like a zoo to me, so you get extra points for having the guts to get this close. I wouldn't get close enough to take a shot with a 1000mm lens.

Was this animal alive at the time of this picture? If so... this is quite a moment captured. I can't help but feel that this animal had a great taxidermist. Again, if this shot is of a breathing animal behaving like this... many kudos.

Ahhhhh, scary! Did you return home with a few cuts and abrasions? Honestly I feel this is lacking color, the coyote look almost stuffed. Some more sharpening and some saturation and it would be a nine.
08/04/2006 03:35:20 PM
HOLY &#@*!!! I've never seen a coyote do that... most coyotes I've seen are running the other way.

About the photo itself... I would have liked it a bit sharper and maybe tweak the levels/curves/color. But I think you captured a great moment! 8

YIKES! I plan on only voting for the "not your typical" shots this challenge. This certainly qualifies. Very intense. Like the centered composition with the head just off centered. Is this in the wild or a preserve of sorts? Good Luck -9-
08/04/2006 02:25:59 AM
wow, I hope you had a long lens!
08/03/2006 11:06:31 PM
I think you mad him mad! The teeth looks menacing, good job.
08/03/2006 08:42:55 PM
Oh man - You must have told him a real bad joke! Great shot and quite scary too!
08/03/2006 08:40:46 PM
This is a great capture. IMO the colours should be adjusted.
08/03/2006 06:40:32 PM
Wow...I hope that was done with a high-power zoom lense...I'd be running the other way! Curious if it's in a captive place or really in the wild. Nice photo!
08/03/2006 05:37:08 PM
Yikes! Not a good place to be.
08/03/2006 11:16:34 AM

08/03/2006 09:00:00 AM
That is so scary!!! I hope you had a big zoom lens on and weren't that close!!! Great picture. :) 10
08/02/2006 10:33:30 PM
Scary. You have more guts than I do!
08/02/2006 09:37:36 PM
scary!
08/02/2006 03:19:34 PM
What in the world? Either you had a long lens, you're a bit crazy to be this close, there is a fence the viewer can't see, or this coyote has been to a taxidermist? This would really jump out if you could see the eyes.
08/02/2006 01:12:18 PM
Oh my god, I hope you had a long zoom for that one!
08/02/2006 12:25:07 PM
great capture!
08/02/2006 11:14:16 AM
So, is this a stuffed coyote? It doesn't quite look right.
08/02/2006 10:05:53 AM
eeeek! scary stuff...well done
08/02/2006 04:38:57 AM
