| Nice simple photo, with a clear message. That message may be lost to more then half of your audience though, as the american flag does not mean freedom to a lot of people. Even if it does so for you, you always have to consider who your audience is. |

| The flag is a little too sharp and hurts my eyes. There is no color in the grass though! Otherwise great composition! |

| This is an excellent compposition and I like the theme of the photo. There is a price to pay for our freedom and sometimes it is a high price. The desaturation on this particular image under the DPC rules, unfortunately, doesn't seem to work very well. The little bit of blue left in the sky seems slightly awkward, and there is some darker blue hanging around the edges of the tree in the upper right that look slightly odd also. I think this image is good and will work out very nicely as a 'finished' photo :) Excellent work... :) |

The colour & BW effect is soooooooo overdone, and is it legal on this challenge?

Great composition. The flags' color are very vivid. Good desaturation job. You were able to capture some really nice shadows in the type of the monument. Absolutely beautiful.
The focus is great in this picture. From the shadows and reflections of the grass to the monument and to the background. Very nice. |
