Thanks for all the comments, very constructive.

This was my first challenge, I have only had the DSLR for about a month now, it is a different world, joining this community has really made me look at the way I take photos.

This photo has some issues. The composition is not interesting. Some of the clouds on the right side are blown out. Backlighting the pole doesn't really work well here because it just ends up looking like a jumbled mess on top of a big black mark in the photo. I'm commenting on photos I voted low on as people cry for insight into why they got a low vote. So not being harsh, but there it is.

it is "from the ground up" but the composition is not very interesting.

This is certainly looking up but I just cant work out what it is! I find the lower right hand side out of focus area a little distracting (MHO)
