O.K. Dosn't matter where this ends up. For the first time I got one that I can honestly say I love in every way... and that is what it's all about... :)
O.K. so who guessed trampoline. It was easy enough to set up. Laid on the ground and shot towards the sky trying to catch the model in mid flip. Excellent trampolinist??? by the way. 6'4" believe it or not.
Graduated filter and a little darkening of the background and a bit of desat.
Thought it looked like something from Mad Magazine and it made me laugh when I saw what it turned out like... :)

it is good. but why does the subject look kinda, well the only way I can describe it is like the shadow/highlight tool was used big time...I may be way off, but the lighting on him and the desat-look is making me do a double-take...
08/14/2006 01:15:45 AM
Awesome shot...I would be proud of this too.

Very unusual image. I like the idea and the execution is good but the image suffers a bit from quality. The detail is there but so is some funky stuff. Judging by the file size (only 25k) it's probably jpg compression which is a shame since you could have probably saved this at a 100% without reaching the 150k limit. Other than that it's excellent. The composition the background and the stop motion.

nice stopped motion, only thing that bothers me a little is that it looks oversharpened.
08/10/2006 05:13:24 PM
Great shot. I like the colors in the BG and the subject. There is some pretty disturbing artifacting around the subject and the BG gradient is not too smooth. I suspect a Noise Ninja/Neat Image problem or oversharpening or resizing or a combination of the above is at fault.

excellent!

i'm sure this is legal, but the post-processing makes it look a little weird. maybe it's just the lighting. nice idea, but it doesn't really grab me.

"Great Job" from the "Great Job Baggie"! A very fun shot. It is very simple, but who needs alot of distraction from the real subject in a shot anyway, right?

The blues are GORGEOUS! There is something about the coloring of the person that I just don't care for, but it is probably your intent (I don't know how that's done, maybe desaturated?) Anyway, it doesn't really take away from this shot by any means.

I gave you an 8.

Very cool shot -- I'll be interested in reading the details of how you did this one!
08/08/2006 08:04:46 PM
Superb shot. I can really see this as an album cover. Maybe a square crop in keeping with this might be something to consider?
08/08/2006 01:46:57 PM
Winner. This is fantastic. Great job.
08/08/2006 01:32:23 PM
Ok. How'd you do that? ;^) This is fun to look at. Appears that motion has been stopped - hard to tell without anything to use for context. Nonetheless, you should do well with this. Good luck.
