Shot in my backyard with a piece of black posterboard and the three quarters were held on a wire and taped on, then I dropped the quarter in the cup. Converted the raw file twice, once for quarters, table and beer, once with much deeper shadows and darkened the whole image. This hid almost all of the wires. Then I used layer masks to bring out the quarters, table and beer. Only had to used healing and clone brush right near the edge of the top two qurater. THen I healed out some errant water spray. Used contrast masking, curves and selective color. Hope its all ok.

Post challenge: Thanks everyone for your comments. It was in fact bud light that had been out getting quarters dropped in it for about a half hour and had lost its bubbles. I had set up three quarters originally but had to clone more on the last quarter and cropped it out because I was worried of being DQ'ed. Here is a before and after the PP and you can see how it was done.
and before the crop.

What an AWESOME AWESOME photo! 6.4, although a great score, seems a bit (alot) underrated to me for this photo!

Very cool capture that invokes a few drunken memories. I have no idea how you achieved this amazing image. Lite-beer no doubt, where's the bubbles?

i just cant understand why your dropping a coins in the glass of beer instead of an ice cubes... can you tell me the logic? -because for me, though i like the quality of the picture there's no sense after all. a glass of beer is for drink not a wishing weel... godluck, anyway.

very clever execution - I think a "bar" kind of background might be better - well let's just say the large expanse of black is really over powering in the shot that's here, and I wish there was something else back there.
