 This chap was sitting on the birdfeeder in my garden. I liked the way the evening sun was catching him and the golden background matched his feathers.

The black thing is part of the bird feeder and you are right, it is distracting. I̢۪ll see what I can do with it.

I'm not a huge bird person, but I like this because of the deep cinnamon/brown tones of the background, which is unexpected. Well focused and the DOF is good. Could you crop out that black something-or-other in the upper left? Hmm Just a thought.
