Challenge: From the Ground Up III (Basic Editing III)
Collection: Challenges People
Camera: Canon EOS-5D
Lens: Canon EF 28-105mm f/3.5-4.5 II USM
Location: Queensland, Australia
Date: Aug 4, 2006
Aperture: 10
ISO: 250
Shutter: 1/200
Galleries: Rural, Textures
Date Uploaded: Aug 6, 2006

I climbed down a 10 meter mine shaft to get this shot. The owner, a friend of ours, hung over the entrance so I could photograph him. I had a plastic bag over the camera to prevent the flying dust. But I got the shot.

Very Indiana Jones image! Good perspective, I imagine it would be difficult to get any bigger DOF based on the size of the culvert.

Good effort with the tricky lighting, great detail all the way to the top. Great composition, I really like the horizontal frame and the ladder leads my eye to the "raider", (I might have tilted the ladder down to the left corner). Hope this does well for you.

Neat! I think it might have been cool as a b/w image, with the flash not quite so strong.

well done, this is great...I think I would have preferred a square crop (lose the left hand third of the shot), this would give more impact and reduce the flash lighting close to the camera...try it and see

I really like the perspective, but the flash seems pretty hot. It gives that over-lit appearance.
