This was one of my favs of the challenge and should have been a top 10 at least. Especially when i look at what finished above you. You have captured the moment perfectly. Good luck

Did he get it? I wish we could see him closer, or see his face, although I'm sure there were zoom limitations. Good action here, that ump and the catcher are definitely ready. Good catch with the ball in there... The colors look a little oversaturated... I think you might have been able to crop in even more severely from the right and the bottom, to get more of an extreme look. But not too bad :-)

I like the cropping; it concentrates the action/subjects well. |

Baseball at its best! Great capture. My only 10! You captured the colors, action and meaning of the sport! Not sure if the cropping works all that well for me...but all-in-all the best of the bunch! |

Although the actual action is happening slightly left of centre, this capture creates a sense of greater activity to the right, where the catcher and umpire crouch in combined tension: one holding steady for the ball; the other ready for the call.
The lines enclosing the burnt umber dirt reach out to delineate a greater part of the action. The curving line of the green boundary in the upper right tells of more out-of-frame elements and also draws the eye to the left, far out of frame, where the action will soon take place.
The colours, in keeping with the sense of activity, are appropriately vivid, bordering on cartoonish (perhaps an additional, unintentional commentary in itself). |

Great, graphic composition, love the background textures in particular . The sport almost feels secondary to me than the impact of that large red triangle pointing in towards the batsman. Cool shot! (10) |

I like the composition/perspective. The colors are a bit over saturated for my eye. Still it's a good action shot. Nice going. |

I like your crop here and the angle on the players. I really like the poses on the catcher and umpire. |
